|
Don't have time to for that luxurious spa manicure? No need to fret. You can replicate the treatment at home, in your hotel room or wherever life takes you.
The Regime- Remove old polish with remover and cotton pads. Select a non-acetone remover. Acetone can be harsh on your nails and hands.
- Clip nails if needed. Then, with a fine or medium grain file, shape nails. Use light, gentle strokes. File from the side of the nail towards the center.
- Next, apply a bit of cuticle remover or oil to cuticles. Let nails sit for a second to let the product soak into to those cuticles.
- Then, soak nails in warm water. Fragrance water with some essentials oils or your favorite bath gel.
- Once nails have soaked for a few minutes, GENTLY push cuticles back with an orange stick wrapped with a bit of cotton.
- Next, take a bit of your favorite scrub and polish your hands and nails.
- Rinse off scrub and massage a luxurious cream or lotion into your hands and arms.
- Wipe nails with nail polish remover on a cotton pad. This removes excess oil that can keep polish from adhering to nails. Make sure you do a thorough job at this.
- Brush a durable base coat on to your nails. Let the base dry a bit.
- Roll your nail polish bottle in your hands to unify the pigments. Then, lightly remove the excess polish of the brush by sweeping it against the side of the neck of the bottle as you remove the brush.
- Start your brush in the middle of the base of your nail. Then sweep the color outward to the left side of your nail.
- Repeat the step on the right side of your nail.
- Then, go down the center of your nail. Make sure the polish goes up and slightly over the TIP of your nail (the first place polish usually chips).
- Let each layer slightly dry in-between layers. Repeat process on the second coat. Then apply, Crystal Cove Sealant & Topcoat the same way. Let nails dry thoroughly.
Pro Tips- To make sure your nails are totally dry and the polish is bonded, smell your nails. If you still smell the “polish”, your nails aren't dry. So be gentle.
- Paint a thin coat of a topcoat every or every other day for extended wear.
- Do not use your nails as tools. They are not pliers, screwdrivers, etc. Treat them with love!
- For added glam, try adding a Swarovski crystal or two. See How To Apply Crystals To Nails.
